Lower Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight  loss  dating back to last season. They lost  3-0 to the Middletown Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the  2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in August.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17,  25-9.
 Leading Middletown to victory were  Carly Johnson and  Isa Barnes.  Johnson  had eight  kills and six  aces, while  Barnes  had a  kill and 25  assists. That high mark didn't come from nowhere:  Barnes now  posted 14 or more in the last four games she's  played.
 Lower Lake's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Middletown, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
 Lower Lake will stay at home for another  game and welcome Upper Lake at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Middletown, they are on the road again  on Thursday to play Fort Bragg at 6:00  p.m.
