With a playoff game on the line, the L.E.A.D. Academy Lions rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 52-24 victory over the Eagles. L.E.A.D. Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.
L.E.A.D. Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kamryn Lay out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Lay has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Sophia Harold was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and five steals.
L.E.A.D. Academy is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for North Florida Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
L.E.A.D. Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Munroe at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully L.E.A.D. Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday. North Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
