Christian Freeman had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Southeast Raleigh is undefeated when Freeman posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-3 otherwise. James Adams IV helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards and a rushing touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Southeast Raleigh was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. They are a perfect 6-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cleveland, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in October. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-3 win over South Garner. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Rams considering their three-point performance the matchup before.
Southeast Raleigh better keep an eye on Kaleb Ferrell. He was instrumental in Cleveland's win, rushing for 113 yards and a pair of scores on only 15 carries. Jaden Tibbs was another key player, gaining 38 total yards and two touchdowns.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cleveland's defense and their five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Jamil Johnson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Cleveland pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.2 points over those games. As for Southeast Raleigh, their record now sits at 8-3.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Southeast Raleigh has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 188.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cleveland struggles in that department as they've been averaging 190.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Southeast Raleigh ended up a good deal behind Cleveland in their previous matchup back in October, losing 28-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Ferrell, who rushed for 187 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.9 yards per carry.
