Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Greenwood Mennonite's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 35-27 to Sts. Peter & Paul. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Greenwood Mennonite has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Greenwood Mennonite had strong showings from Faith Troyer, who scored seven points along with 14 rebounds and two steals, and Laci Mast, who scored nine points along with five steals. Mast is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Concord Christian Academy's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Greenwood Mennonite, their loss ended a 19-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.
Thursday's match is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Concord Christian Academy have been dynamite from deep this season, having only nailed 33.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Greenwood Mennonite, though, as they've only made 30.2% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
