The Hillcrest Christian Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 21 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Mt. Salus Christian 74-25 at home. With Hillcrest Christian ahead 42-19 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hillcrest Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ethan Battle, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Severe McNeary, who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals.
Hillcrest Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Mt. Salus Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillcrest Christian will take on Benton Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mt. Salus Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodlawn Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Woodlawn Prep will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
