The Plainfield Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Norwich RVT Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plainfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Plainfield suffered a tough 71-50 loss at the hands of Stonington. Plainfield has struggled against Stonington recently, as their matchup on Monday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 84-48, which was the final score in Norwich RVT's tilt against Cheney RVT on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Norwich RVT can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Cheney RVT is ranked 31st).
Plainfield has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Norwich RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Plainfield strolled past Norwich RVT in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 73-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Plainfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
