The UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs lost against the Jackson Aggies back in November of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. UMS-Wright Prep fell 63-53 to Jackson.
It was another big night for Micah Caster, who scored 21 points along with eight assists and three steals for Jackson. The contest was Caster's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keeyun Chapman, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
UMS-Wright Prep's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Jackson, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
UMS-Wright Prep and Fairhope will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fairhope presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than UMS-Wright Prep in Alabama (Fairhope is ranked 14th, while UMS-Wright Prep is ranked 198th). Jackson and Auburn will face off at 4:00 p.m. on December 30, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Auburn is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Jackson a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
