Falls City is 7-0 against Louise since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Falls City Beavers will look to defend their home field against the Louise Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Falls City will be strutting in after a victory while Louise will be coming in after a loss.
Last Friday, Falls City got themselves on the board against Yorktown, but Yorktown never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 38-0 victory over the Wildcats on the road. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as Falls City just coasted through the last quarter.
Falls City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Swierc led the charge by rushing for 95 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Swierc was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Johnson, who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Meanwhile, Louise fell victim to Burton's stalwart defense two Fridays ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 27-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Louise in their matchups with Burton: they've now lost seven in a row.
Falls City's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3. As for Louise, their loss two Fridays ago dropped their record down to 4-3.
Everything came up roses for Falls City against Louise when the teams last played back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 56-6 win. Does Falls City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Louise turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
