The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lake Lure Classical Academy in their matchups with Challenger: they've now lost six in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Lure Classical Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Moira Turner. Despite the final result, she scored eight points along with eight steals. Another player making a difference was Jayda Luckadoo, who scored three points along with three steals.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Challenger to victory, but perhaps none more so than LeeAnna Killian, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Grace Boston was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy's loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.8 points per game. As for Challenger, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6.
