The Banner County Wildcats lost against the Cody-Kilgore Cowboys/Cowgirls back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Banner County suffered a tough 72-50 defeat at the hands of Cody-Kilgore.
Despite the loss, Banner County still got an impressive performance from Nathan McGowan, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jacob Parsons, who scored 20 points.
Banner County's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cody-Kilgore, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Banner County will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Hay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on December 29th. Hay Springs will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line. Cody-Kilgore will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Creek Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Creek Valley comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
