Football Recap: Delran Piles Up the Points Against Moorestown

Delran won against Haddon Heights last Saturday with 38 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Bears claimed a resounding 38-7 win over the Moorestown Quakers. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Delran had a senior duo take command as Vinny Sacca threw for 161 yards and a pair of touchdowns and Justin Mary picked up 83 receiving yards and one TD.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Delran proved: they limited Moorestown to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Jack Jordan for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've posted since back in November of 2024.

The victory (which was Delran's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.5 points. As for Moorestown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Delran will challenge Overbrook at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Moorestown, they will take on Pemberton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Quakers will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
