Wicksburg is 8-2 against Dothan since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Wolves at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wicksburg 3, Dothan 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Dothan will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Wicksburg extended their winning streak to four on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers stepped up to hand Zion Chapel a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Chloe Joyner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
Wicksburg was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Dothan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Auburn on Thursday, sneaking past 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wolves have posted since March 6th.
Kinley German was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brantlee McCarthy, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Wicksburg's record is now 28-13. As for Dothan, their record now sits at 26-13.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Wicksburg hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like Dothan struggles in that department as they've averaged .387. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wicksburg suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Dothan when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
