Benton Central will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Lafayette Central Catholic on Thursday. In other batting news, Adalynn Keller was incredible, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Minniear, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Benton Central was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lafayette Central Catholic only posted a batting average of .348.
Benton Central has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
