Hamilton hasn't had much luck against Oak Hills recently, but that could start to change  on Friday. The Big Blue will welcome the Highlanders  at 5:00  p.m. Hamilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.
Things were looking good for Hamilton after they put the first  runs on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost  11-2 to Lakota West. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Big Blue have suffered  against the Firebirds since April 27, 2022.
 Hayden Snyder was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits.
 On the hitting side, Hamilton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaleb Powers, who  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4. Another  was  Austin Payne, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
Meanwhile, Oak Hills put another one in the bag  on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Talawanda  a   9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Highlanders, who have now won four contests by seven  runs or more  so far this season.
Oak Hills also got a great performance from  Gabe Cox as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over five innings pitched.
 At the plate,  Ethan Moeves was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his five plate appearances. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.  Cooper Harrison was another key player,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Oak Hills  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least nine  hits in three consecutive  games.
 Oak Hills' win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-0. As for Hamilton,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 3-3.
