The Redbank Valley Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Freeport by a score of 64-53. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Redbank Valley has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Redbank Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kieran Fricko, who scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Mason Clouse was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Redbank Valley pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Freeport, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Redbank Valley will finish 2023 at home by hosting Ellwood City at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Ellwood City focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. Freeport's road trip will continue as they head out to face Propel Braddock Hills at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th.
