On Friday, The Medina Battling Bees got themselves on the board against the Solon Comets, but the Solon Comets never followed suit. They really took it to the Comets for the full four quarters, racking up a 35-0 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Medina, who have now won six contests by 30 points or more so far this season.
Medina got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cooper Josefczyk out in front who rushed for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. Danny Stoddard was another key player, having thrown for 266 yards and three touchdowns.
Medina has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Solon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Medina will look to defend their home field on Friday against John Marshall at 7:00 p.m. John Marshall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 542nd, while Medina is ranked 39th). Solon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
