The Modesto Panthers suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 74-51 walloping at the hands of Enochs. Modesto has not had much luck with Enochs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Modesto still got an impressive performance from Phillip Gonder, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Nelson Suarez, who scored six points.
Modesto has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Enochs, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Modesto will face off against Downey at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Reuben Lewis and Gonder. Enochs won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oakdale at 6:00 p.m. on January 13th. Oakdale is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
