Vallejo extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-5. They came up short against the St. Patrick-St. Vincent Bruins, falling 16-6. If the Redhawks were looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to the Bruins when the teams met back in February of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ollieana Leonard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Leonard is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dreah Bernstine, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
As for St. Patrick-St. Vincent, they now have a winning record of 9-8. Considering they have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
On St. Patrick-St. Vincent's side, Alliana Jones was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Jones was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
In other batting news, St. Patrick-St. Vincent got a massive performance out of Jaquelyn Benito, who went 4-for-5 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one double. Those four stolen bases gave Benito a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alondra Barba, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs.
St. Patrick-St. Vincent didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Albany on the 27th. Hopefully Vallejo paid attention to the Bruins' matchup: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
