It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Rogers Rams ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They came out on top against Kentridge by a score of 82-75. The victory was just what Rogers needed coming off of a 79-56 defeat in their prior contest.
Rogers' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amanna Anusiem led the charge by scoring 20 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Anusiem has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Gilderhus, who scored 17 points along with two steals.
Rogers' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points per game. As for Kentridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Rogers will head out on the road to take on Camas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rogers knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Camas likes a good challenge. Kentridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
