After a string of three wins, the Cheyenne/Reydon Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a serious blow against Seiling, falling 85-57. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cheyenne/Reydon in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Cheyenne/Reydon's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Bogges and Kynli Carlson. Bogges scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Carlson scored 14 points. Bogges has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Miranda Allen was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Cheyenne/Reydon's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Seiling, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-3.
Cheyenne/Reydon will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sweetwater will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 260th, while the Bears are ranked 118th). As for Seiling, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Lomega is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
