The Pinewood Christian Patriots will be playing at home against the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pinewood Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Westminster Schools of Augusta will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Bulloch Academy scored an imposing 56 points on Friday, Pinewood Christian still came out on top. Pinewood Christian sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over Bulloch Academy. The victory was just what Pinewood Christian needed coming off of a 76-28 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Westminster Schools of Augusta's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell to Bulloch Academy 47-41. Westminster Schools of Augusta has not had much luck with Bulloch Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Eric Robinson, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Levi Ketterman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds.
Pinewood Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Pinewood Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Westminster Schools of Augusta in their previous matchup back in January, winning 50-39.
