He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 71 yards. Mercedes also got help from Baltazar Fuentes, who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mercedes was moving up and down the field and finished the game with 428 total yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Donna only gained 156.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 49-14, which was the final score in Rowe's tilt against Los Fresnos on Friday.
The victory got Mercedes back to even at 1-1. As for Rowe, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Mercedes couldn't quite finish off Rowe in their previous meeting back in September of 2019 and fell 28-25. Can Mercedes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
