The Heritage Academy Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Berkeley Springs Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Berkeley Springs will be up against a hot Heritage Academy squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles put the hurt on Shalom Christian Academy with a sharp 12-3 win on Monday. Considering the Eagles have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Heritage Academy let Jonah Croteau and Caleb Wise run wild. Croteau went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and one double, while Wise went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Wise a new career-high. Josiah Britner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Heritage Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs had just enough and edged out Pendleton County 13-12 on Monday.
Conner Maconaughey made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Maconaughey was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Caiden Groves and Kyle Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Groves went 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double, while Moore went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Moore is becoming a predictor of Berkeley Springs' success: when he posts at least three hits the team is undefeated (and 3-18 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Shawn Mccumbee, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Heritage Academy's record now sits at 7-3. As for Berkeley Springs, their record is now 6-18.
Berkeley Springs' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Heritage Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .461.
