Basketball Recap: Eagle's Landing Takes a Loss

Eagle's Landing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Union Grove Wolverines, falling 47-24. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Eagle's Landing still got an impressive performance from Tia Gaines, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and five steals. Gaines is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Londyn Lane, who had six points in addition to five boards and four blocks.

Union Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maegan Jenkins, who put up 14 points. Adonai Dudley was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Eagle's Landing's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Union Grove, their record is now 3-4.

Eagle's Landing didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-48 defeat against Eagle's Landing Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Union Grove, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-24 win against McDonough on the 13th.
