It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Johnson Eagles can now relate to. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 67-65. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Alana Jones was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds for Billingsley. Jones is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Derrica Motley, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.
Johnson has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season. As for Billingsley, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
Johnson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Billingsley also has no future games currently scheduled.
