The San Antonio Memorial Minutemen will be home for the holidays to greet the Cuero Gobblers at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for San Antonio Memorial: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Cuero has snatched up nine consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for San Antonio Memorial, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-19 loss to Providence Catholic.
Meanwhile, Cuero beat Cole 36-23 on Friday.
Arissa Carbonara continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Cuero's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Bowles, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
San Antonio Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Cuero, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
San Antonio Memorial was taken down by Cuero 62-35 when the teams last played back in January. Can San Antonio Memorial avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
