There's no place like home for the Bronaugh Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Hume out 46-44. For Bronaugh, this counts as revenge for the 47-43 loss Hume walked away with the last time they faced one another two weeks ago.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bronaugh to victory, but perhaps none more so than Strauss Banes, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Banes has scored at least 25% of Bronaugh's points. Luke Bowling was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Bronaugh's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hume, they bumped their record down to 2-1 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Drexel the next time they take the court. Bronaugh will head out to face Drexel at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Hume will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
