The Jacksboro Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Muleshoe Mules at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jacksboro is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Jacksboro is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over Wall.
Shelby Seaberry made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Seaberry was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Jacksboro let Holly Lehman and Brailyn Tullous run wild. Lehman went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs, while Tullous went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Tullous is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played.
Meanwhile, Muleshoe had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Tornadoes with a sharp 10-2 victory. Considering the Mules have won 17 matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Jacksboro, Muleshoe also got a great game from a two-way player: Adalie Agundis. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Agundis was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Addilene Blanco was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Melanie Martens was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Muleshoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive games.
Jacksboro has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.1 runs over those games. As for Muleshoe, they pushed their record up to 24-8 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.
Jacksboro's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's matchup. The Tigers have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Muleshoe, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Jacksboro continue to outrun the ball?
