The Marie Philip Galloping Ghosts put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 55-20 win over Rhode Island School for the Deaf at home. Fans of Marie Philip have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
It was another big night for Jeremy Novas, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stokely Karp, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds.
Marie Philip's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Marie Philip will head out on the road to face off against Cambridge at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rhode Island School for the Deaf, they will be playing in front of their home fans against New York School for the Deaf at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully New York School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Monday.
