Lafayette is a perfect 10-0 against Tates Creek since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lafayette Generals will be playing at home against the Tates Creek Commodores at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Tates Creek will be up against a hot Lafayette team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Lafayette walked away with a 10-6 victory over Frederick Douglass on Wednesday. That's two games straight that the Generals have won by exactly four runs.

Rylan Music spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Kierstyn Kelley was a standout: she scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Anna Clay Denton was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tates Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against Paul Laurence Dunbar on Monday as Tates Creek made off with an 11-5 win. The Commodores haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.
Tates Creek also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Alexis Sempsrott gave up just two earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up eight Ks. That's the fewest earned runs Sempsrott has allowed since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Madison Bowman, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alexis Bazzell, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Lafayette's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Tates Creek, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
