Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, Brunswick couldn't push the score so high this time.
Brunswick's loss came despite strong showings from Gabby Stefanic and Andie Welsh. Stefanic scored 13 points along with four steals, while Welsh scored four points along with 12 rebounds and eight blocks. Welsh is absolutely dominating the block category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Brunswick has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season. As for Williamsport, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brunswick won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Frederick at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. Frederick is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for Williamsport, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Smithsburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th.
