The Hobart Brickies can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They ended the year with a bang, routing Mishawaka Marian 45-22.
Hobart can attribute much of their success to Emma Ortiz, who scored 14 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ortiz has scored at least 25% of Hobart's points. Another player making a difference was Cailey Weber, who scored ten points.
Hobart's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Mishawaka Marian, they have fallen quite a ways from their 22-6 record last season and are now at 2-13.
