McMinn Central enjoyed a cozy 59-44 victory over Polk County. The victory was familiar territory for McMinn Central who now have three in a row.
Will Cooper was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last five times he's played. Daylen Spradling was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
McMinn Central has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Polk County, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McMinn Central's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bradley Central at 7:30 p.m. on February 5th. Bradley Central is coming into the contest with six straight defeats at home, so McMinn Central is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Polk County, they will head out on the road to take on Marion County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Tennessee (Polk County is ranked 294th, while Marion County is ranked 301st).
