The Southmoore SaberCats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 73-63 to Westmoore. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Southmoore in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost seven in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Westmoore to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ivan Antwi donkor, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Antwi donkor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Loper, who scored 18 points.
Southmoore's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-8. As for Westmoore, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southmoore will challenge the Pioneers at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Oklahoma (Stillwater is ranked 89th, while the SaberCats are ranked 93rd). As for Westmoore, they will head out on the road to challenge the Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawton will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
