If Lompoc wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Cabrillo, they should've done a better job of containing Cody Lawton. The Conquistadores were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Braves on Tuesday thanks in part to Lawton, who had 27 assists. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last nine games he's played.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cabrillo was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-7, 25-7.

The win made it two in a row for Cabrillo and bumps their season record up to 12-8. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-9 Lompoc and 3-22 Mission College Prep. As for Lompoc, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9.

Coming up, Cabrillo will face off against Santa Maria at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lompoc, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Mission College Prep on the 16th.
