Issac Day Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is West Tallahatchie's Issac Day, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Day rushed for 251 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. His longest rush was for an incredible 95 yards.
The victory (which was West Tallahatchie's third in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Day and West Tallahatchie will take on Leland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tristian Hill Makes It Two for West Tallahatchie
Another West Tallahatchie player making an appearance on this list is Tristian Hill. He wasn't messing around on Friday, rushing for 163 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries. The game was his third straight with two or more rushing touchdowns dating back to last season. His longest rush was for an incredible 81 yards.
On the season, Hill has averaged 117.2 passing yards per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he was only averaging 58.25 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 115.13 rushing yards.

Dekevion Miller Turns in Season-Best Effort
South Delta was led to victory by Dekevion Miller, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Miller rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, and also threw for 100 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.
If the past is any indication, Miller could be in store for another big game when he takes on West Bolivar on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Miller saw the Eagles), he rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries, and also picked up 45 receiving yards.

Powell Posts Huge Game in 26-0 Win
Keeping Miller company is Marvin Powell, a fellow South Delta player. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards.
For the year, Powell has averaged 57.7 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after seven games last season, he had four rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to nine.
Gamescore: 34.08
Demario Conner put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in August on Friday. He rushed for 43 yards.
On the season, Conner has averaged 32.4 rushing yards per game.
