Greenville needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Lyric Jacobs. The Lions walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bowie Volunteers on Friday thanks in part to Jacobs, who had 17 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Greenville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17.

Greenville's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Bowie, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season.

Greenville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Longview on the 30th. As for Bowie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Whitehouse on the 30th.
