The Cisco Loboes came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Jacksboro with points to spare, taking the game 42-23. Given Cisco's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Jacksboro is ranked 710th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the loss, Jacksboro saw an underclassman step up: Hayden Walker scored 10 points along with 3 steals. Walker scored a full 43.5% of Jacksboro's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Cisco's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Jacksboro, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Cisco's road trip will continue as they head out to face Tolar at 12:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Tolar's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Cisco's offense will have their work cut out for Cisco. As for Jacksboro, they will be playing at home against Poolville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Poolville comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
