The Mountain View Academy Mustangs lost against the KIPP San Jose Collegiate Wolfpack back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Mountain View Academy had to suffer through a rough 82-44 loss at the hands of KIPP San Jose Collegiate. Mountain View Academy has not had much luck with KIPP San Jose Collegiate recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Mountain View Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Daniel Malo, who scored 15 points along with three steals, and Christopher Mercado who scored 11 points. That's the first time this season that Malo scored 15 or more points.
Mountain View Academy bumped their record down to 3-3 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for KIPP San Jose Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View Academy will square off against El Primero at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. KIPP San Jose Collegiate won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Valley Baptist at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th.
