The Meadows School has enjoyed the comforts of home their last five games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Pahrump Valley Trojans at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Meadows School will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nevada Rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Trojans are ranked ninth).
The Meadows School suffered their closest loss since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Sports Leadership & Management by a score of 40-37.
Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley put the finishing touches on their 16th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They breezed by Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon at home to the tune of 65-14. With Pahrump Valley ahead 44-7 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Paris Coleman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Kailani Martinez was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
The Meadows School dropped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Pahrump Valley, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-2.
The Meadows School was taken down by the Trojans 50-14 in their previous matchup back in January. Can The Meadows School avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
