Fulton Science Academy was the 68-43 winner over Cross Keys when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Fulton Science Academy Mustangs took a 49-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cross Keys Phoenix on Tuesday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aaron Lopez, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. Jason Beck was another key player, putting up eight points and 11 rebounds.

Cross Keys had a senior duo take command as Dre Tucker put up 22 points and five steals and Christian Holmes had 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Tucker's ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Fulton Science Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Cross Keys, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fulton Science Academy will take on The Stonehaven School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Cross Keys, they will face off against Cumberland Academy of Georgia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
