Quarry Lane scored the most points they've had all season to find success last Friday. Couldn't have asked for a better start to 2024 than the 72-28 blowout they got on the road against Apostles Lutheran. That looming 72-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Quarry Lane yet this season.
Meanwhile, Stockton Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 56.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 53-40 win over Delta Charter.
It was another big night for Jayden Chamblee, who scored 16 points. Chris Williams was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Quarry Lane's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Stockton Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Quarry Lane didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Stockton Christian when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win.
