Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Clarendon Broncos, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were dealt a 67-6 loss at the hands of the Bobcats on Friday. Clarendon's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
Armando Lujan was his usual excellent self, throwing for 357 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground for Sunray. Damian Barragan also deserves a shout-out for his three touchdowns.
Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Sunray, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Clarendon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sunray will head out on the road to face off against Albany at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Albany is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
