D'Evelyn has gone 9-1 against Littleton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the D'Evelyn Jaguars challenge the Littleton Lions at 6:00 p.m. D'Evelyn is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
D'Evelyn will head into Wednesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 26) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-53 victory over Evergreen. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while the Cougars are ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

D'Evelyn found their leader in sophomore Colleen Monahan, who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 28 points and six boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Monahan has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lyla Nagy, who posted nine points and four steals.
Littleton meant business on Wednesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Lobos squad that has allowed just 27 points per contest. Littleton strolled past Conifer with points to spare, taking the game 57-40. The Lions pushed the score to 48-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lobos cut but never quite recovered from.
Littleton's win came from a few key players D'Evelyn will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Emma Bird, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Vicky Whitney, who scored eight points and 14 boards.
D'Evelyn pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Littleton, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: D'Evelyn has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 30.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Littleton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.7 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
D'Evelyn was able to grind out a solid win over Littleton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 53-43. Does D'Evelyn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Littleton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
