Allie Malatesta made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024. Everything went Piedmont Hills' way against Presentation when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Piedmont Hills made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Piedmont Hills since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
