The Shore Regional Blue Devils fell victim to the Holmdel Hornets''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Hornets, falling 39-0. While losing is never fun, Shore Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Holmdel is ranked 35th).
Shore Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Holmdel, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shore Regional will take on Clayton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holmdel, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Matawan Regional at 7:00 p.m.
