The Texas Wind 's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 51-40 to Stephenville FAITH. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Despite the loss, Texas Wind still got an impressive performance from Johnny Salmans, who rushed for 52 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 69 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Rhys Bonow, who threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns.
Travis Robertson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 360 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 135 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Preston Hyde was in the mix as well, providing Stephenville FAITH with two touchdowns.
Texas Wind has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Stephenville FAITH, their victory was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
Texas Wind does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Stephenville FAITH also has no future games currently scheduled.
