What's more, he gave up only three walks, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Kase Smith was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madden Sawyer, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Calvin took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They skirted past Clayton 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Calvin has posted since March 12, 2024.
