The Whiting Oilers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 52-40 win over Griffith. The win was just what Whiting needed coming off of a 75-29 loss in their prior contest.
Whiting can attribute much of their success to Torie Davis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. That's the first time this season that Von ogden pulled down eight or more rebounds. Briana Esquivel was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
