Despite their loss, Cunningham saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Rylee Miller, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 13 points and three steals, was perhaps the best of all. Miller has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. They really took it to Centre for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-21 victory. The team ran away with 40 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Canton-Galva's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Cunningham, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
